Community Mental Health Clinic

CMHA Thames Valley has a number of options to connect clients to psychiatric consultation when assessed as a need by a staff member. Clients must be registered in a CMHA program to receive this service. We don’t take referrals from community partners.

Consultation with a psychiatrist is available through the Community Mental Health Clinic for individuals who do not have access to this specialized service in the community. The goal of the clinic is prevention, stabilization, and treatment of mental disorders. The psychiatrist works together with a support team which may include mental health workers, community supports, nurses, and the individual’s family doctor.

Goals & Objectives

The goal of this program is to offer a rapid engagement to a psychiatrist for assessment and treatment to assist with symptom management and improve overall quality of life.

How Do I Get An Appointment?

Clients must be registered with a CMHA program and have been assessed as requiring psychiatric
intervention. Referrals will be made by CMHA TVAMHS Staff.

Locations

Community Mental Health Clinics are available in London, Elgin, Oxford and Strathroy.
