Justice Services/Court Support
We provide advocacy and case coordination services to people aged 16 or older living in St. Thomas or Elgin County who have been charged with a criminal offence and who have symptoms of serious mental illness, concurrent disorders, developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries.
Depending on the individual’s circumstances and the approval of the Court, services will be provided either through our Justice Services program or through the more formal Court Diversion or Elgin Therapeutic Court programs.
Our Justice Services Case Managers offer support directly at Court appearances and will work collaboratively with the participant, the courts, lawyers, probation, income assistance providers, and anyone else whose involvement is important to recovery.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Additional support is available through our Crisis & Intake team.
